Biographical Info:
Life long resident of Meeker County. Taught American history for 35 years at New London-Spicer schools. Coached Cross Country running with three state championship teams. I have been named to the following Halls of Fame: Litchfield High School, New London-Spicer Athletic, Cross County Coaches of Mn. I also have been named a Distinguished Alumni of St. Cloud State and received the Hahn Award for contributions to the coaching profession. I was elected to the Minn. House of Representatives in 2002 and have chaired the Capital Investment and Legacy Committees. I have also served 16 years on education committees.
Statement:
I have started initiatives with capital investment and education that I want to finish. I am involved in legislation to increase the relevance of civics in our schools. I also am promoting a "Parent's Bill of Rights" that would ensure that parents have access to how and what is being taught their children.
