Biographical Info:
I was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Minnesota. My family moved to here when I was 13. I currently reside in Eagan, MN. I come from a family of 14 and was raised with strong work ethic. I have deeply help Christian and conservative values and live my life accordingly. I graduated from North Central University with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Studies and I have a Masters in Intercultural Leadership from Crown College. I am a former small business owner but have also worked in the medical field and have participated in various volunteer opportunities. I am currently retired. I have been involved in grass roots politics since the Reagan era but have not held any political office.
I am running for office because I want to make a difference in our government and improve the lives of people. I see our government moving away from values that are good for everyone. I see individual rights being challenged and the creation of policies and laws that are detrimental to our lives and the lives of our children. My uniques experiences as an African American woman, a former business owner and frequent community volunteer will enable me to be an effective legislator and a strong advocate for my community.
