Meet the Candidate

Running For:
MN House of Representatives
Political Affiliation:
(763) 267-5055
Currently District 35A State Rep / Vice President Asphalt & Concrete Industry
Some College / USMC Military Police
Running for a 3rd term. I believe in service to my community and country. Service on the state Transportation Committee and Veteran’s committee has been an honor and a big reason why I’m running again. This year, after redistricting, DFL Rep. Stephenson and I are matched up. He needs to be beat in the general election because his voting record is horrendous and way left of center. This might be the tightest house race in the state.

Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Should abortions be banned after fetal heartbeat is detected (around 6 weeks gestation)? Y* The DFL position is: acceptable killing of the baby for any reason throughout the 9th month even during or after birth. I believe we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by our creator. “Knit together” in our MOTHERS womb. I will protect innocent life at all stages.
2. Do you oppose all taxpayer funding of abortion? Y* Absolutely 100% opposed to taxpayer funded killing of babies.
3. Do you oppose physician assisted suicide, also referred to as aid in dying? Y* This issue will continue to be pushed from the left as a “heartfelt caring for others and quality of life” argument. We need to speak the truth in love about God’s plan and desire for all people to know him and surrender their lives as a living sacrifice - holy and pleasing to God. His timing is always right. Even if we can’t see it or articulate it. We should trust in Him
4. Do you oppose public school policies that promote transgender ideology, such as comprehensive sex education? Y* Schools should make sure our children learn to READ and know MATH. Too often the priorities are in the wrong place. Our kids are not being served we’ll currently in many public schools. This needs to change if we care about our children being able to succeed in life.
5. Do you support legislation that preserves girls’ and women’s athletics for biological females? Y* Protect Women and Girls.
6. Do you support school choice legislation, such as tuition tax credits, that would enable parents to choose the school that best suits their child’s needs? Y
7. Should people have their religious freedom protected if they refuse to participate in a same-sex wedding? Y
8. Do you oppose efforts to ban voluntary biblical counseling in the areas of gender and sexuality? Y
9. Do you support a parent’s fundamental right to direct the upbringing of their children, including their education and health care? Y
